SUPERIOR ACCURACY – with no distortion from patient movement during set, removal of impression, or disinfection.
INCREASED EFFICIENCY – A digital impression can be obtained in less time than it takes with traditional impression materials and techniques.
ONSCREEN VISUALIZATION – allows for immediate adjustment to create the ideal orthodontic scan the first time.
INCREASED PATIENT COMFORT – by eliminating the materials needed for traditional impressions.
STEP 1: SCANNING – The orthodontic assistant scans your teeth using the intra-oral scanner to create a 3D digital image on the computer. A series of pictures are taken to get the exact shape and contour of your mouth and teeth. This can be used to create orthodontic appliances or to fabricate Invisalign aligners through our exclusive Invisalign Integration software.
STEP 2: IMMEDIATE VISUALIZATION – Teeth Models build in real-time providing immediate feedback for patient and parent consultation.
STEP 3: DIGITAL IMPRESSION REVIEW We review the 3D digital impression for optimal treatment planning.
STEP 4: INVISALIGN PATIENTS This exceptional new technology is also known to be accurate, more environmentally friendly, and able to produce better-fitting Invisalign aligners with a significant reduction in fabrication time. With the 3shape scanner, our Dual Image Orthodontics team can keep you smiling from the first step of treatment to the last!
An additional advantage of our iCAT technology is increased comfort for our patients. Unlike traditional x-rays, our iCAT machine captures the images without the use of invasive and uncomfortable devices that have to be placed inside of the mouth.
PROPEL® Orthodontics provides innovative devices and procedures to shift teeth as quickly and painlessly as possible. The PROPEL® System can be used in combination with current orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign® and traditional braces, to help move teeth into their desired position 30% faster than teeth can move with Invisalign® and traditional braces alone. Drs. Lockhart are PROPEL® Orthodontics providers, so you can enjoy a perfect smile faster than ever before.
The PROPEL® System uses a procedure called Alveocentesis™ to make orthodontic systems, such as Invisalign® and traditional braces, more efficient. Alveocentesis™ stimulates the production of alveolar bone in the maxilla and mandible, the upper and lower jaw, so as teeth shift into alignment, the bone that holds teeth in place can better adjust to shifting teeth. An increasing number of adults are seeking the variety of orthodontic treatments available to straighten their teeth. A classically beautiful smile can improve your life socially, psychologically, and functionally, but at such an advanced stage orthodontically, adults can only hope to achieve growth and bone development through orthognathic surgery. Many adults can receive orthodontic treatments without the worry of bone growth or development and still achieve beautiful results, but severe malocclusion, such as an overbite or cross bite, may provide an added concern during orthodontic treatments. In addition to less bone development, adults heal more slowly, and their teeth shift at a slower rate. PROPEL® Orthodontics can help with all of these factors while on your journey to achieve a perfect smile.
AcceleDent is approved by the FDA and has been used by thousands of patients worldwide. You can now speed up your tooth movement by up to 30% using this pain-free, easy appliance. Combined with existing orthodontic appliances like Invisalign, patients can use Acceledent to potentially reduce their treatment time. It can also be used with traditional braces.
AcceleDent works by inserting a special mouthpiece with the pulse activator for 20 minutes a day. It uses gentle micropulses, called SoftPulse Technology® allowing movement of your teeth. Fitted around your existing braces AcceleDent can speed up tooth movement decreasing the duration of your orthodontic treatment. This patented technology will very gently vibrate through your teeth and gums to accelerate tooth movement guided by your existing orthodontic appliance and treatments. In order for the Acceledent procedure to be effective, patients are required to commit to at least 20 minutes a day.
AcceleDent is easy to use. Simply press the removable mouthpiece into the activator, bite down firmly enough to hold the device in place and turn it on. Relax while you watch TV, read a book or listen to music during the required 20 minutes of use for AcceleDent to function effectively.
Numerous studies have demonstrated AcceleDent’s benefits in safely speeding bone tooth movement. When used as directed in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, it offers benefits including:
Faster tooth movement without sacrificing aesthetics
Can be used by both teen and adult patients
May reduce your orthodontic treatment time by 30%
It is lightweight and comfortable.
Hands-free design allows you the freedom to read, watch TV or complete work.
An ideal AcceleDent patient is someone who is interested in quickly obtaining the aesthetic, functional and health-related benefits of orthodontic care. If you are undergoing or preparing to undergo orthodontic treatment and are seeking a shorter treatment time span, AcceleDent may be right for you.
